Turner – Juliette M. Lemay, 100, of Torrey Hill Road, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born in St. Malachie, Quebec, Canada, on Nov. 23, 1906, a daughter of Bellarmin and Ludivine (LaFontaine) Blanchette. She worked as a weaver at the Hill division of Bates Manufacturing for more than 26 years and then worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for several years until her retirement in 1975. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, knitting, beano and especially parcheesi in her later years.
Juliette is survived by her three daughters, Gisele Gagnon of Auburn, Dorothy and husband, Roland Lajoie, of Turner and Georgette and husband, Dallas Heller, of Wyoming; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
Juliette was predeceased by her husband, Alfred, in 1981; a son-in-law, Adolph “Sonny” Gagnon in 2007; and a granddaughter, Joline Lovering in 1995.
