BATH – Virginia Kenney, 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Hill House on Nov. 20, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1911, in Hancock, the daughter of George and Lena (McFarland) Stewart.

She graduated from Coburn Classical Institute and Washington State Normal School.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Kenney and his wife, Gail, of Montville and Leon Kenney of Brunswick; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard N. Kenney; and her daughter, Beverly Gillis.
