SOUTH PARIS – Lewis E. Bressette, 78, of South Paris, died Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

He was born in Oxford on July 20, 1929, the son of Edward and Margaret Smith Bressette. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Elizabeth Mitchell on March 6, 1954, and she passed away on Feb. 25, 1990.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and in recent years playing pool at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

He is survived by his daughter, Joan Esty and her husband, Ron, of Naples; two grandsons, Michael Lowell of Naples and Lewis Lowell and his wife, Misty, of Waterbury, Vt.; a great-granddaughter, Latecia Lowell of Waterbury, Vt.; a sister, Margaret Winship and her husband, Russell, of Freeport; and a brother, Robert Bressette and his wife, Lucille, of Oxford.

He was predeceased by six sisters; and five brothers.
