NATIONAL CITY, Calif. – Sylvia Stoddard died Nov. 12 in National City, Calif.

She was born Dec. 18, 1936. She was a restaurateur and author. She retired from GTE Sylvania and pursued her love of the restaurant business as co-owner of the Holly Hill Diner in Holly Hill, Fla., and her writing, publishing her book “The Deadly Season.”

Survivors include her children, Sandra Myers (James) of Lakeside, Calif., Susan Theriault of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Sherry Gogue (Roy) of National City, Calif.; stepsons, Steven Amnott (Darlene) of Tallahassee, Fla., and Bruce Amnott of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esta Harjehausen (Harold) of Banning, Calif., and Lucille Wentworth of Pownal; four brothers, Raymond Wentworth (Grace) of Port Orange, Fla., Ronald Springer (Beth) of Norway, Phillip Wentworth (Barbara) of Pownal and Peter Wentworth (Sharon) of Portland; and her companion, Catherine Burr.

She was predeceased by her soul mate, Shirley J. Amnott.
