RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence M. Gaul of Rumford was celebrated Friday at St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Danny Boy,” “Ave Maria,” “Precious Lord,” “The Lord is My Shepherd” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” Readings were given by Cynthia Giroux and Mary Gaul. Eulogy was given was given by Colleen Gaul, Kathy Richard who read “Miss Me, But Let Me Go,” and Susan Manning who read “An Irish Blessing.” Committal services were conducted by the Rev. LeVasseur. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed at the Robert Shand Post 1641, V.F.W. in Rumford. Military honors were provided at the cemetery by the Maine State Honor Guard and included Sgt. Cuaves and SSG. McBean. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home.
