LEWISTON – Jo-ann C. Rioux, 22, of 59 Adolph Drive, Sabattus, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital after a sudden illness with her family by her side.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1984, to James C. Rioux and Karen J. (Harmon) Costley.

She graduated from Oak Hill High School, Class of 2003. At the time of her death she was employed with Bath Iron Works and was a member of the Bath Marine Draftsmen’s Association.

She is survived by her companion, Ronald Abbott Jr. and their handsome 10-month-old son, Bingham James Abbott, both of Sabattus; her parents, James C. and Cathy Rioux of Sabattus, John and Karen J. (Harmon) Costley, all of Sabattus; her closest friend and sister, Jenifer C. Rioux and fiancé, Jared A. Deschene; her stepsister and stepbrother, Amber Damon and Andy Damon of Sabattus; paternal grandmother, Carmel Rioux of Rumford; maternal grandparents, James E. and Georgieanna McArthur of Poland Spring, William H. Harmon and companion, Martha Dunn, of Sumner; maternal great-grandmother, Delores Blanchard of Auburn; Ron’s parents, Theresa and Ron Deschene of Auburn; many, many aunts, uncles, cousins; and endless numbers of friends.

She was predeceased by her paternal great-grandparents, Joseph and Octavie Collette of Rumford; uncles, Joseph Rioux of Rumford and Donald Mangarelli of Rumford; paternal grandfather, John C. Rioux of Rumford; and uncle, Michael Harmon of Rumford.
