LEWISTON – Pearl E. Sirois, 87, a resident of 52 Hampshire St., Auburn, died peacefully Monday evening at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, April 1, 1920, the daughter of Clarence H. and Maybel (Taylor) Smith. She attended local schools, and had worked most of her life in the local shoe industry. Following retirement she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and her grandchildren.

She was also very active in the Women’s Auxillary of the Auburn American Legion Post on Washington Street where she was a past president.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Pratt and his wife, Diane, of Rumford, Robert Anderson and his wife, Kim, of Dixfield; two daughters, Joanne Wilson of Freeport and Patti Waye of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Carolina Demers of Raymond, N.H., Ida Caron and her husband, Alphonse, of Lewiston, and Christine Brooks and her husband, Phil, of Lewiston. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
