SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Aurum Alnita Aldrich went to be with his Lord Sept. 3.
He was born May 4, 1922, in Hobart, N.Y. He served as a U.S. Army military police from 1942 to 1946, stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany.
He ran his own construction business in Maine for more than 30 years before moving to California in 1977. He then worked for the state of California until his retirement in 1984. He loved to fish, belonged to a fishing group and went fishing whenever he could.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Gladys; sons, Harold (Brenda) Aldrich and Ernest Aldrich; brother, Jonathan Aldrich; sister, Louise (Philip) Anderson; brothers-in-law, Lionel Tupper and Jackson (Alice) Tupper; three grandchildren, Heidi Johnson, Michael Aldrich and Michelle Hall; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose Tupper Aldrich; daughter, Adelma; and grandson, Scot.
He will be missed by family and friends.
