AUBURN – Therese A. (Perreault) Nadeau, 79, of 10 Seville Place, Lewiston, died Friday at the Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side following a long battle with kidney disease.

Born in Berlin, N.H., on Dec. 2, 1927, a daughter of the late Arthur and Odelie Jacques Perreault, she was educated in Lewiston schools.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish of Lewiston, and was married to Raymond J. Nadeau on June 23, 1951. He died May 25, 1991.

She worked as personnel manager at Kresge’s Department Store for 25 years prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed playing the piano, spending time with her family, playing cards and going on bus trips with her sisters.

Therese is survived by a daughter, Louise Cote and husband, Reginald, of Manchester; a son, Roger Nadeau and his wife, Mary, of Shirley, Mass.; four grandchildren, Reginald Cote Jr., Kelly Nadeau, Michael Cote and his wife, Barbara, and Nicole Nadeau; three great-grandchildren, Derek Nadeau, and Connor and Jackson Cote; three sisters, Marguerite Girouard, Olive Poisson and Gabrielle Sirois, all of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Gerard; and sister, Cecile Ferron .

The family wishes to thank Dr.Roger Austin and the compassionate staff at the Hospice House, as well as the staff at the Kidney Center for their excellent care, with special considerations to Dr. Jenni Smith for all of her kindness and support.
