LEWISTON – Robert L. Morin, 60, of 500 Main St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Lewiston, after a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 2, 1947, the son of Joseph and Cecile (Couturier) Morin and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1966. He then attended Mid-State College receiving his associate degree in accounting in 1972. He was a self-employed accountant, until his retirement in 1996.
He was a very patient man who never complained throughout his trials and tribulations in his life. He loved his wife, daughter and her husband and his grandchildren very much. He also looked forward to attending the annual balloon festival.
He is survived by his wife, the former Judith A. Morrissey, whom he married on May 5, 1973 of Lewiston; one daughter, Peggysue Sockalexis, and her husband, Robert, of Old Town; two grandchildren, Gregory Joseph and Raven Rose Sockalexis, both of Old Town; one brother, Larry Morin, and his wife, Donna, of Auburn; two sisters, Vickie Hardt, and her husband, Skip, of Auburn and Claire Therrien of Jay; and many nieces and nephews.
