Bangor – Louise P. Roy, 58, a resident of Oak Hill Drive, Oakland, died early Saturday morning, Sept. 8, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where she had been a patient since Thursday.
She was born Feb. 25, 1949, in Lewiston, the daughter of Raymond and Yolande (Rheaume) Roy. Louise graduated from Jay High School, class of 1967.
She worked as a laboratory technician at Thayer Hospital in Waterville, later becoming Maine General Medical Center.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Fairfield and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
She was a very devoted mom to her son Drew, he was a very special part of her life. She enjoyed her work, speaking French when given the opportunity and especially enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by her son, Drew Roy of Oakland; three sisters, Eva Henry and her husband, Gary, of Jay, Susan Roy and her companion, Thomas McLamb, of Livermore Falls, and Diane Hodge and her husband, Joseph, of Windham; a brother, John Roy and his wife, Vivian, of Rome; her aunt, Mary Lou Legere and her husband, Adrian, of Jay; special friends, Brenda York of Oakland and Lise Corbin of Augusta; also a niece, nephews and many cousins.
