PORTLAND – Theodore C. “Father” Shorette, 77, of Alexander Road, Dresden, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born on April 22, 1930, in Island Falls, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Russell Shorette.

Ted is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara, whom he loved dearly; his children, Beth, Emma, Sarah, Harold, Teddy and Willie; a brother, Freeman Jr.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and several cousins; and many special friends in the County.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Millard; and son, Sammy.
