LEWISTON – A funeral Mass celebrating the life of Sister Solange (Jeanne) Bernier was held Thursday, Sept. 6, at Holy Family Church following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.

Monsignor Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and was concelebrated by the Rev. Daniel Greenleaf, the Rev. Dolbec Jaques, the Rev. Joseph Manship and the Rev. Roger Ouellette.

The Rev. Dolbec Jacques recited committal prayers at the interment in the Ursuline Sisters Cemetery in Waterville.

During the Mass, the readings were by Donald Bernier and Aliette Couturier. The Offertory was brought to the altar by Sister Marcella and Sister Rita. Delegations present at the Mass were the faculty staff from St. Dominic Regional High School.

Words of remembrance were shared by Don Bonneau, representing St. Dominic Regional High School and by Richard Bernier, representing the family. The pallbearers were Richard and Donald Bernier, Michael Bertrand, David Bernier, Richard Plourde and Scott Gosselin.

A reception of fellowship was held at the Parish Hall at Holy Family Church following the Funeral Mass.
