LEWISTON – Ronald H. LaFlamme went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 29, with his loving family by his side, at his home in Lewiston.
He was born in Lewiston on April 10, 1936, son of Harvey and Irene (Lessard) LaFlamme, the youngest of five siblings. A graduate of Lewiston High School in 1955, he served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service on the U.S.S. Harder, from 1955 to 1959 out of New London, Conn.
After his enlistment, he entered into an apprenticeship for sheet metal mechanic through Hahnel Bros. of Lewiston and retired in May 2001 from Thayer Corp. of Auburn. He was the beloved husband of Edna “Peggy” Wood LaFlamme, whom he married in 1958.
With the Lord’s blessing, he loved and enjoyed his family, first in his life, accepting the Lord years ago. He was very talented in building his home and enjoying the outdoors with many flower and vegetable gardens.
He loved dearly, his church family, Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, their prayers and love will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; their sons, Thomas, and wife, Cheryl, of Lewiston and David, and wife, Stacey, of Oxford; daughters, Sarah, and husband, Steven Lessard, of Turner and Kathleen, and husband, PO1st William Herin, of Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren, Crystal, Jonathan, Brandyn and Makaila Knight, Tyale and Carter Lessard, Chelsea Plourde and Madison and Mason LaFlamme; one great-granddaughter, Khloe Kirk; two brothers, Marcel, and wife, Theresa LaFlamme, of Lewiston and Roger, and wife, Kathleen LaFlamme, of Bristol, Conn.; a sister, Constance and John Clabby of Lewiston; many nieces and nephews; also a very special friend and former pastor, the Rev. Anthony Lombardi, and wife, Donna, of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his parents; and an infant brother.
