FARMINGTON – Frank N. Keene, 53, of Farmington, died Friday, Aug. 24, at his home after a long, chronic illness.
He was born Feb. 27, 1954, in Lewiston, the son of the late Norman and Dorothy (Campbell) Keene.
He grew up working with horses, and he carried his love for harness racing throughout his life. For many years, Frank owned and operated his own convenience stores, until he was unable to due to failing health. On April 10, 1983, he married Christine Fulton in Lewiston.
He is survived by his wife Christine of Jay; two daughters, Nandell Keene of Connecticut, and Shawna Martell and her husband, Joshua, of Champagne, Ill.; one son, Lincoln Keene of Jay; sister, Patty Davis and her husband, Charles “Sonny” of Florida; two brothers, Ivan “Buddy” and his wife, Elaine, of North Turner, Everett and his wife, Iris, of South Paris; sister, Betty Foster and her husband, Bruce, of South Paris; sister-in-law, Lori Parlin Wilson of Hebron; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his folks; and a brother, Gary Parlin.
