LEWISTON – Robert Leo Bagley, 70, of Albany Township and formerly of Gorham, N.H., passed away Friday evening, Aug. 24, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 8, 1937, the son of Robert Allan and Alma (Paradis) Bagley, and lived most of his life in Gorham.
He served for more than 13 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran.
He was employed by the town of Gorham in the highway department, retiring as assistant foreman in 1999.
He was a member of the VFW White Mountain Post 2520, in Berlin, N.H., the American Legion Post in Bethel, and formerly the Dupont Holmes Post 82 in Gorham, N.H., and the Marine Corps League in Berlin, N.H. He attended the Congregational Church in West Bethel.
Members of his family include his wife, Ida (Belcher) Bagley of Albany Township; three sons, Robert W. Bagley of Gorham, N.H., William Allan Bagley of Santa Clara, Calif., and Donald Leo Bagley of Gorham, N.H.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Bagley, Hannah A. Bagley, Brooke M. Bagley, Jose Luis Pequeno and Koral Lynn Saunders; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
