FARMINGTON – Dorothy M. Hill, 88, of East Dixfield, died early Thursday, Aug. 9, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in North Jay, a daughter of Roland and Sadie (Burnham) Maxim Sr. and attended local schools.

She was a devoted wife and meticulous homemaker to her husband, Homer Hill, who died in 1976. She enjoyed caring for her family’s children, playing cards, especially poker, crocheting and country music.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Ada Heckbert, Lula Diamond, Bertha Dill and Roland Maxim Jr.
