BRISTOL, Conn. – Virgil Ward Bowie, 74, of Plainville, Conn., and Albion, husband of the late Donna (Neri) Bowie entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 23, at Bristol Hospital.
He was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Augusta, to the late Virgil and Gladys (Seibel) Bowie. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved music of all kinds, and music was his life.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Bowie of Coventry, Conn., and David Bowie of East Hartford, Conn.; two daughters, Sharon Samples of Coventry, Conn., and Lisa Richey of East Hartford, Conn.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his girlfriend, Jane Ouellette of Waterbury, Conn.
