SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Cecile H. Ouellette, 95, of Roxbury Pond, died Tuesday, June 26, at Wingate Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born in Rumford, on Sept. 26, 1911, a daughter of Edward and Evangeline (Desrosiers) Giroux.
She was educated in Rumford schools.
She married Paul P. Ouellette on June 23, 1930, and together they celebrated 53 years of marriage. He passed away on Aug. 13, 1983.
In 1952, they moved to Bridgeport, Conn., where she was employed for 20 years with Schick Injector Razor Co. in Milford, Conn.
They returned to Mexico in 1972, and summered at Roxbury Pond.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s and St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and especially her camp at Roxbury Pond.
She is survived by a son, Paul P. Ouellette Jr., and wife, Jeannette, of Milford, Conn.; three daughters, Constance A. Uithol, and husband, Bert, of Manton, Mich., Noella Y. Berchman, and husband, Roger, of Three Rives, Quebec, Canada, and Paulette E. Wiley of South Hadley, Mass.; a sister, Alfreda Arsenault of West Peru; a brother, Louis Giroux of Mexico; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Paul P. Ouellette Sr.; five brothers; and two sisters.
