BRYANT POND – Shirley Ann Richards, 65, of Bryant Pond, died June 16.

She was born in Old Town on Oct. 29, 1941, the daughter of Warren and Jeanette (Brissette) Grindle and was educated in Old Town schools.

Shirley had been employed at Pat’s Pizza in Orono for many years. She loved to sew and knit, going to bingo with her friends and watching Wheel of Fortune and Dancing with the Stars.

She is survived by one son, Daniel McGurn Jr., and his wife, Soyna, of Orono; two daughters, Brenda Mason and her significant other, Stuart Wentworth of Bryant Pond, and Gwen Pearl of Bangor; one brother, Carl Grindle of Old Town; one sister, Dayle Baker of Jacksonville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Tabatha and Scott Dyer of Mexico, Kasey and Alex Gallant of Poland, Sabrina and Ryan Wallace of Rumford, Nathan Pearl and Cory Pearl, both of Bangor, and Daniel McGurn III of Orono; and seven great grandchildren, Camden, Matthais, Alyssa, Camry-Le and Connor, Natasha, and Savannah.
