GREENWOOD – Margaret Ena Ring, 85, of Greenwood, died at her residence on June 11.

She was born in Mason Township on May 25, 1922, the daughter of Herbert and Eva (Bartlett) Long. She graduated from Gould Academy in 1941, the same year she married Keith Ring. He died in 1986.

She had worked at Ecko Wood Products in Locke Mills for more than 25 years. She was most proud of her volunteering at the Woodstock Elementary School for the last 19 years, and was there on her birthday this year. She was a member of the Locke Mills Union Church and had been very active in the Greenwood Fire Department Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ring of Amissville, Va., and Herbert Ring of Topsham; one daughter, Meredith Ring of Painesville, Ohio; one brother, Hugh Swan of Locke Mills; three sisters, Musa Brown of Bethel, Carol Jordan of West Bethel and Beth Awalt of Lewiston; one sister-in-law, Priscilla Zaworski of Corvallis, Ore.; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Keith Ring; one son, Allan Ring; and one brother, Delwin Long.
