JAY – A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert St. Pierre was celebrated Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima in Jay with the Rev. Roger Chabot as celebrant. The processional into church was accompanied by a song recorded by Al’s daughter, Adele St. Pierre, and “Family,” “You Are Mine,” Psalm, “Blest Be the Lord.” Offertory, “J’irais La Voir Un Joir,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Song of the Angels” were sung by the resurrection choir during Mass. The readings were done by Josh Anchors and Scott Schmitz. The gifts were brought forward by Steve and Ida Barker and the eulogy was given by John Landry. The recessional from church was accompanied by a song recorded by Al’s son, Thomas St. Pierre, “Leader of the Band.” Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls with military honors provided by the local veterans organizations. Antoine St. Pierre, Thomas St. Pierre, Jean St. Pierre, Scott Schmitz, Ethan McGrane and Kevin Hanlon served as pallbearers.
