LEWISTON – Earl J. Bennett, 54, of Holland Street, Lewiston, died May 9, at Central Maine Medical Center due to complications from heart surgery.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1953, in Lewiston, the son of James T. and Yvonne E. (Hodgdon) Bennett.

He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Pastime Club.

He worked at various shoe shops throughout the area.

He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Bennett of Lewiston; daughter, Lisa Wilkinson of New Hampshire; four grandchildren; sisters, Mary Beaudoin, and husband, Richard, of Lewiston and Sue Crosby of Lewiston; and brothers, William Bennett of Auburn and Chet Bennett of Unity.

He was predeceased by his father, James Bennett; a niece, Donna Beaudoin; and many aunts and uncles.
