AUBURN – Rachel I. Mongeau, 54, of 71 Spring St., Auburn, died Friday, May 4, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on July 29, 1952, the daughter of Roland and Irene Bedard.

She was an Edward Little High School graduate of the Class of 1969. She was employed in Lewiston most of her life, including Hillcrest Foods and Paragon Glass.

She loved animals, especially horses. She was very religious doing her Rosary everyday.

She is survived by her mother, Irene Bedard of Lewiston; one son, Mike of Lewiston; two daughters, Kathy of Auburn and Irene Henderson of Lewiston; one brother, Paul Bedard and one sister, Louise Gayton, both of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion and closest friend, Phil Scribner in 2006.
