RUMFORD – Louis J. O’Leary, 45, of 11 John F. Kennedy Lane, formerly of the Swain Road, died Wednesday, April 25, at Rumford Community Home with his loving family at his side, following a long courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.

He was born in Rumford on May 10, 1961, a son of Pauline (Vallee) O’Leary and John J. O’Leary Sr.

Louie was educated in Rumford schools. While residing at the Rumford Community Home, he was involved in all activities. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, playing Skip-bo, cribbage, pool, games on his game cube, watching movies, and socializing at the Beacon House.

He is survived by his father, John J. O’Leary Sr. of Rumford; three sisters, Anne Clifford and husband, Arthur, of Rumford, Patricia Drakus and husband, Walter “Jack,” of Andover, and Marcia Surette and husband, Thomas, of Rumford; three brothers, John J. O’Leary, Jr. and wife Sheryl, Kevin D. O’Leary and wife Diane, and Philip B. O’Leary, all of Rumford; a Godson A.J. Clifford of Rumford; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother Pauline, his wife Lorraine, and a great nephew Lucas Vining.
