LEWISTON – Brent E. Matthews, 34, of Lewiston, died Saturday, April 21, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Born in Lewiston, Feb. 4, 1973, he was the son of Richard and Linda Bikulcius Matthews. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1991, and worked several different jobs, specializing in welding. He was extremely talented and enjoyed creating his own designs in detailed metal work. He was very loving, giving and compassionate, he was always willing to do anything for anyone in need.

He is survived by his mother and father, of Tucson, Ariz; his paternal grandmother, Harriet Stuart of Lubec; his maternal grandmother, Mariette Bikulcius of Lewiston; and four brothers, Jeff and wife, Heidi, of Tucson, Ariz., Creg and wife, Lisa, of Tucson, Ariz., Edward of Lewiston, and Richard II and wife, Rachel, of Oxford; his nephews; and his cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mandy, who died in 1983.

His family and friends will miss him dearly.
