CANTON – Margaret M. “Peggy” MacPherson, 104, died Sunday, April 15, at the Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center, Canton.
Peggy had resided on Weld Street in Dixfield since 1975, and was formerly of Mexico most of her life.
She was born in Paisley, Scotland on May 6, 1902, a daughter of John and Maggie (Davidson) MacPherson, and graduated from Mexico High School Class of 1921.
She retired from Oxford Paper Co., Rumford, after 48 years as an office clerk.
She was a member of the Mexico Congregational Church and was a member of the Oxford Paper Co. 25 and 40 Year Clubs.
In 2000, she received Dixfield’s Gold Boston Post Cane.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Kate Eldridge and Jesse Chaisson; and three brothers, Kenneth, John and James MacPherson.
