AUBURN – Leslie M. Davis, 98, of Robert Avenue, Lewiston, died Tuesday, March 27, at the Odd Fellows Home in Auburn.
Born in Portland, Dec. 5, 1908, a son of the late Lemuel and Adie (Snow) Davis, Leslie was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1928.
He married Violet M. Morse, on Oct. 28, 1945, and she predeceased him on April 22, 2000. He worked for over 30 years at Motor Supply as an office worker.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, going to horse races, singing, watching golf on TV and spending time with his family.
He leaves a daughter, Alice Stebbins and her husband, Norman, of Auburn, who loved and cared for him in his final years. He also leaves a son, Walter Davis and his wife, Joyce, of Salem, N.H.; an adopted son, Robert Davis and his wife, Betty, of Laconia, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild; and his two cats, Toby and Tiny.
He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Jason Stebbins; and a brother, Walter Davis.
