SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Beloved wife, honored mother and loving grandmother, Sally passed away peacefully in Sacramento Calif., after a short battle with kidney cancer. She was way too young to die and was definitely not done living.
Born in Lille, Maine, to Saul and Marie Parent, she was raised in Auburn, where she graduated from Edward Little High School in 1955. In 1960 she married the love of her life, Paul Guay. During their marriage of 46 years, they traveled all over the country where they made many friends who still remain friends today.
After moving to California in 1969, she became employed by T.A.B. Products, Inc., where she remained for 30 years until retiring in 1999. Upon her retirement she enjoyed traveling with Paul, volunteering at her church, friendship and prayer groups, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul, of North Highlands, Calif.; her three children, Michael Guay of Willow Creek, Calif., Pamela and Jerry Weider, of Port Angeles, Wash.; Debbie and Bill Jordan, of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and her four grandchildren, Joshua Guay, Johnathan and Micayla Weider, and Andrew Jordan. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Melvin Parent of Connecticut; Roderick Parent of Jacksonville, Fla., Viola DuBois of Lewiston, Geraldine Roberts of Hebron, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by both her parents.
