MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – Cora L. Donohue, 76, of Merritt Island, Fla., a longtime resident of Lewiston, passed away March 19, with her loving husband by her side.

She was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Bangor, the daughter of Denis and Marie Cyr Plourde. She attended local schools and later worked at the Bates Mill in Lewiston, where she met her first husband, Roger Boisvert. They married in 1947 and had seven children.

After the passing of her husband in 1970, she became a homemaker. In June of 1972, she married the love of her life, Norm Donohue, and her happy journey began with traveling, camping, dancing and spending winters in Florida, all the things that made life worth living.

She loved celebrating birthdays and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her many dear friends. She will be remembered for the strong will to survive the many illnesses and obstacles that stood in her way.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 34 years, Norm Donohue, of Merritt Island, Fla.; four sons, Daniel Boisvert (Gail) of Auburn, Michael Boisvert (Connie) of Sabattus, Gerard Boisvert (Rose) of Florida, and Kenneth of Lewiston; two daughters, Barbara Nasoni (Margee Pizzo) of Biddeford, and Linda Leclair (Donald) of Lewiston; one stepson, Normand Donohue Jr. of Oregon; two stepdaughters, Patricia White (Kenneth) of Connecticut, and Maureen Berry (Stephen) of Saco; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Carlton Plourde (Jeannette), Richard and Robert Plourde, all of Lewiston, Raynold (Connie) of Florida, and Harold Plourde of Lisbon; and one sister, Priscilla Smith of Florida.

She was predeceased by a son, James; her mother and father; and a brother, Roderick.
