AUBURN – Paul L. Wade, 61, of Auburn, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, at the Hospice House.

He was born on July 29, 1945, in Laconia, N.H. He was a 1963 graduate of Concord High School. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He then attended the University of Maine and also attended other schools in relation to addiction studies.

He worked for the St. Francis House of Catholic Charities for 11 years and prior to that he worked for the City of Lewiston, in the general assistance office. He retired in 2002 due to illness.

He was a member of the Danville Union Church, where he was an organist for 16 years.

He is survived by his partner of 37 years, Fred Sanborn, of Auburn. He had many friends and was greatly loved by many people.

His family wishes to thank the nurses, Dr. Austin, and staff at the Hospice House for the excellent care given to him.
