SANFORD – Helen M. Berry, 97, of East Parsonsfield, died March 7, at Greenwood Center in Sanford.
She was born in East Parsonsfield on August 24, 1909, to J. Frank and Queenie Lane Fenderson and attended local schools.
She was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed doing word-search puzzles and playing cards. She was a devoted wife and mother and got a lot of enjoyment out of taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and took pride in preparing wonderful meals for her family.
She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, George Berry, of Parsonsfield, and Delwin Berry and his wife, Mabel, of Effingham, NH; four daughters, Bessy Lane, of Cornish, Kathleen Levesque and her husband, Lionel, of North Monmouth, Barbara Libby and her husband, Leon, of Bowdoinham, and Jeanne Warner and her husband, Robert, of Parsonsfield; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Berry; and two children, Maybelle McDonald and Kenneth Berry.
