SOUTH PARIS – Robert I. “Babe” Renaud, 86, formerly of Lewiston, died peacefully Thursday evening at the Market Square Health Care Facility.
He was born in Lewiston, April 20, 1920, the son of Napoleon and Laura (Ouellette) Renaud.
He retired after 43 years at the Bates Mill and following retirement he enjoyed bowling and following New England team sports.
He was a member of the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul when he resided in Lewiston.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific theater, and was a 52-year member of the American Legion Post 22.
Survivors include his wife, Lou, of South Paris; two cousins, Liette Cliche and Leo Renaud.
