AUBURN – Gerald Maheux, 83, formerly of Lewiston and Carrollton, Texas, passed away Feb. 19, at the Hospice House, in Auburn, with his family by his side.

He was a World War II veteran and a U.S. Marine.

He was son of the late Albert and Mary (Bilodeau) Maheux. He distinguished himself as a tennis pro and a business owner, designing and producing his own line of fitness and athletic gear. He was an avid pilot, an accomplished photographer and most recently a passionate natural horseman trainer.

He is survived by Fleurange and Leo Renaud, Theresa and Nicholas Chacos, and Anita and Fernand Fournier; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; two godchildren, and special friends from Dallas.
