NORWAY – Dorothy E. Lang, 73, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She had resided on Pleasant Street in Andover.
She was born in Andover, on Dec. 1, 1933, a daughter of Arthur and Marie (Elliott) Lang. She graduated from Andover High School, Class of 1953. She then trained for a nurse’s aid at the Rumford Community Hospital and attended St. Mary’s Home and Hospital for children in Ithaca, N.Y.
She had been employed as a governess for children in Pennsylvania. She was an active member of the Andover First Congregational Church and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed being at camp, cooking, knitting and taking care of her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a brother, Elliott Lang, and his wife, Joan, of Hudson, N.H.; and a sister, Helen Deanis, and her husband, Gerald, of Roxbury Pond.
