MINOT – Mary M. Jones, 70, of Minot, passed away on Jan. 1, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Harold and Lois Morrell on June 2, 1936, in Lewiston. She was a graduate of Mechanic Falls High School, Class of 1954.

She enjoyed her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as reading and being an active part of her community.

She and her husband, Paul, married Sept. 7, 1958, and were the owners and operators of Maple Grove Egg Farms for 42 years.

She was a member of the Congregational Church of Mechanic Falls and a singer in the choir. She held all of the offices in the Rebekah Lodge, Colfax No. 27, and became a member of the Past Noble Grands and the Rebekah Assembly of Maine, where she served as a soloist. She was also a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and held membership in other local organizations as well.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul; her sister, Brenda, and husband, Charles; brother, Eugene, and companion, Stacy; son, Michael, and his wife, Deborah; daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Rogel; nine grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Sara and Dallas Prescott, Jacob and Lucas Rodrigue, Daniel, Jeremiah and Angelica Negron and Sami Jones Negron; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis Prescott and Cane, Alexis and Leland Rodrigue.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to hospice nurses, Miss Deborah and Miss Judy.
