LEWISTON – Matthew P. Manley, 18, of 40 North Temple St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Dec. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Matthew was born in Lewiston on March 8, 1988, the son of Thomas Manley and Joanne Pike-Manley. Educated locally, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 2006, and was currently a full-time student at Central Maine Community College, majoring in business management.

He was employed part-time at ACS, handling inbound sales calls. Matt had a life-long love of sports, and played lacrosse and soccer all four years of high school, and basketball for three years. He was involved with Lewiston Recreation League Basketball for most of his life, as a player from kindergarten to grade 9, and grades 9 through 12 as an official and last year as a coach, coaching his team to a championship victory this past year.

He was also a big sports fan, especially pro basketball, and enjoyed attending Celtics games with his friends. Matt also loved music, and recently spent some time in a studio, recording rap songs.

He is survived by his mother and father of Lewiston; three brothers, Brian Vye, his twin John and Joseph Manley, all of Lewiston; he will also be missed dearly by his grandparents, Helen Wilbur and Willis Lowell of Oxford, and grandmother, Hazel Manley of New York City; his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his many, many friends.
