POLAND – Michael R. Cournoyer, 20, of Fourth Street, Auburn, died Sunday, Dec. 24, from an automobile accident in Poland.

He was born Dec. 17, 1986, in Lewiston. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 2005. Michael loved playing basketball and football. He worked for Lutheran Services helping people with disabilities.

He is survived by his father, Raymond Cournoyer of Monmouth; mother, Susan Lauze, and Joe Lauze of Wayne; siblings, Sarah and Matthew Cournoyer of Wayne; uncles, Daniel Cournoyer of Lisbon, Robert Cournoyer of Lewiston, Roland Cournoyer of Danvers, Mass., Richard Scott of San Diego, Calif. and John Scott of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; aunts, Annie Stevens of Plattsburgh, N.Y. and Victoria Butler of San Diego, Calif.

He enjoyed life and had many friends.
