LISBON FALLS – Linwood “Bugger” J. Goddard Jr., 68, passed away on Dec. 14, at his residence with his loving family by his side, after a brief and courageous battle with mesothelioma.
He was born in Lewiston on June 11, 1938, a son of the late Linwood J. Goddard Sr. and Bernice (Bulick) Goddard. He attended Lisbon High School and then went on to owning and operating his business; Goddard & Sons Roofing and Siding for 51 years.
Bugger married his soul mate, Judith Fae Genthner on March 30, 1957, in Lisbon Center.
Over the many years of hard work and dedication, he formed a strong work ethic which has been admired and appreciated by his many loyal customers. He was committed to providing customer satisfaction which established many meaningful friendships. His passion for the outdoors led to his hobbies of hunting, fishing and riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a very loving and generous man, devoted to his family and especially enjoyed the times that he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his four children, Debbie Lague, and companion, Charlie Collingwood, of Sabattus, Linwood J. Goddard III, and wife, Tina, of California, Pam Hogan, and husband, Frank, of Lisbon Falls and Ralph Raymond Goddard of Saco; his seven grandchildren, Kelly and Matt Lague, Anne, Laura and Nathan Goddard,of South Carolina and Bobby and Jennifer Hogan; his five great-grandchildren, Kathy, Derek, Rachel, Damian and Cody; a sister, Mabel Johnson of Alabama; his mother-in-law, Mildred Genthner; great-aunt, Josephine Bulick; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Goddard; a very special and loving friend, Pat Gravel; as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends, all over Maine.
He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Judith Fae (Genthner) Goddard; his parents, Linwood and Bernice Goddard Sr.; a brother, Conrad Goddard; and an uncle, Norm Bulick.
