PORTLAND – Charles J. Harris, 70, of Farmington, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born June 2, 1936, in Strong, a son of the late Charles B. and Elizabeth N. (Robertson) Harris. He was educated in the schools of Rangeley and Farmington, graduating from Farmington High School, Class of 1954.

Charlie worked at G.H. Bass Shoe Co. for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards with his friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Lora Allen, and her husband, Earl, of Jay and Karen Stevens, and her husband, Bob, of Belgrade; four grandsons, Eric Daggett, and companion, Lori Cook, of Jay, Justin Daggett of New Sharon, Ryan Daggett of New Sharon and Travis Daggett of New Sharon; one great-grandson, Zachary Daggett of Jay; and two sisters, Nora Farrington, and her husband, Thayden, of Jay and Rachel Harris of Canton.

He was predeceased by infant son, March 30, 1964.
