WEST PARIS – Freda Mae Stevens, 72, of W. Paris, died Sunday, Nov. 12, at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Norway on June 30, 1934, the daughter of Milford and Madelyn Gibbs Herrick.

She attended W. Paris High School.

She married William Stevens on Dec. 7, 1951. She raised her family of seven children and also worked at Penley Corp. in W. Paris for 27 years.

She was a member of OES Granite Chapter of W. Paris. She wrote poems for her family, made quilts in her spare time, and loved to bake for her family and friends. She was well known for her baking. The love of her life was her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, William of W. Paris; seven children, Sharon and her husband, Randall Robinson, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Daniel Stevens of Oxford, Randall and his wife, Marie Stevens, of Norway, Anthony and his wife, Megan Stevens, of Glenside, Pa., James and his wife, Sukie Stevens, of Cornville, William Jr. and his wife, Shelley Stevens, of Norway, and Gregory Stevens of W. Paris; daughter-in-law, Tammy Stevens, of Lisbon; a sister, Ethel (Russell) Pray of S. Paris; two brothers, James (Donna) Herrick of Nevada, and Richard and his wife, Debbie Herrick, of Oxford; 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Pray; and a brother, Robert Herrick.
