Auburn – Loretta D. Cyr, 85, of Bolster Heights Nursing Home, died Sunday, Nov. 5, at the nursing home, where she had resided the past several years.

She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 4, 1921, the daughter of Wilfred and Blanche Belleville Doucette. She was educated in local schools and was married July 4, 1940, to Leo J. Cyr, who predeceased her May 29, 1966.

She had worked in area shoe factories and at one time owned and operated the L & A Bowling Alley. She won the Maine State Women’s Candlepin Bowling Championship on many occasions. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul parish.

She is survived by a brother, Lucien Raymond Doucette of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
