LEWISTON – James Phillip Scribner, 65, a longtime Lisbon Falls resident passed away prematurely from cardiovascular disease on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at his Lewiston residence.
He was born in Auburn on June 5, 1941, the son of David and Reinette (Carlson) Scribner. He was a 1959 graduate of Lisbon High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, where he served as a communication technician.
He worked at Carlton Woolen Mills for 20 years as a supervisor. He worked for Pioneer Plastics for five years and most currently was employed at WCBB television station.
His life hallmarks were his friendly and open demeanor, his loyalty and dedication to his work. He enjoyed going on yearly trips to both St. Johnsbury and Barre, Vt., and New Hampshire.
He is survived by his companion and best friend, Rachel Mongeau, of Auburn for more than 23 years; his sister, Connie, and her husband, Bart Smith, of Arizona; an aunt, Lurene Houston of Gilford; a niece; nephews; and several cousins.
