LEWISTON – Eva Greenwood, 94, a resident of Gardiner Road, Wales, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, at d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a resident since Aug. 25.

She was born March 28, 1912, in Wales, the daughter of Walter and Jennie Frost Greenwood. She attended schools in Wales and Lewiston.

She worked at New England Telephone Co. in Lewiston for 48 years, retiring in 1977, as a supervisor. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, she also enjoyed watching her birds. She loved her cocker spaniel, T.J. Greenwood.

She was a member of Pioneers of Telecom and a lifetime member of the Litchfield Sportsman Club. In 1968, she caught a togue that weighted 8 pounds 6 ounces in Emden Pond. Her great-nephew, Rodney Bubier has been taking care of her for many years.

She is survived by eight nephews, Walter Bubier, and his wife, Frances, Wallace Bubier, Horton Austin, and his wife, Ruby, Frank Greenwood, and his wife, Helen, George Greenwood, and his wife, Sandy, Fred Greenwood, and his wife, Merlene, James Greenwood, and his wife, Charlene and Robert and his wife, Sandy; six nieces, Virginia Cram, and her husband, Bradford, Janice Mace, and her husband, Alan, Shirley Brownell, Caroline Chick, and her husband, Richard, Linda Karod, and her husband, Stanley and Jean Greenwood; a great-nephew, Rodney Bubier, and his wife, Pat; also many other great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was predeceased by her brother, Forrest Greenwood; five sisters, Jessie Smith, Lottie Austin, Louise Hinkley, Hazel Hinkley and Annie Bubier; and three nephews, Stanley Greenwood, Walter Hinkley and George Hinkley.
