FARMINGTON – George W. Easter, 78, of Dixfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, where he had resided for the last seven years.
He was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Peru, the son of Charles and Martha (Blaisdell) Easter. He attended Dixfield schools and was a self-employed woodsman and gardener. He was the devoted companion of Annette Bouchard with whom he shared 50 years of his life. They married Dec. 4, 1998.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting and gardening and often sold fresh produce from his garden. He also was an animal lover and loved his faithful dog “Dusty” as well as all of his kitties. He was a member of the Maine Trappers’ Association and the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Annette, of Dixfield; and two nieces.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Charles Easter Jr.
