LEWISTON – Francoise R. Cailler, 82, of 6 Revere St., Lewiston, and formerly of 21 Nancy St., Lewiston, died Thursday, Sept. 28, at her home.

She was born in St. Fabien De Rumouski, P.Q., Canada, on April 5, 1924, the daughter of Gaudiose and Laura Chouinard Belanger. Educated in local schools, she was married to Emilien J. Cailler on Oct. 25, 1948. He passed away on May 2, 2005.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a dietary aide at Central Maine Medical Center. A member of Holy Family Parish, she enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, but most enjoyed time spent with her family and her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Paul and wife, Joline, of South Portland and Donald and wife, Linda, of Gardiner; a daughter, Denise, and husband, Maurice Fournier, of Lewiston; a brother, Dr. David Belanger, and wife, Michelle, of Montreal; a sister, Gervaise Gagnon of Newington, Conn.; two sisters-in-law, Muriel Bonin of Lewiston and Rita Roy and husband, Leo, of Lewiston; and five grandchildren, Nicole, Daniel, Gretchen and Sarah Cailler and Emily Fournier.

Her family would like to thank all the medical care providers who helped her during the last few years, especially Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, Dr. George Morrissette and Dr. Amir Modaressi.
