GRAY – Philip J. Valente, 51, of Gray, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 23.
He was born on May 1, 1955, in Portland, the son of Maxine (Valente) Moulton and Michael Valente Jr. He graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School in 1973.
In 1989, he married Debra (Kimball) Valente. He was self-employed as a general contractor for 28 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, laughing, camping and attending his children’s sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Valente of Gray; his son, Greg Holt Jr. of Gray; his daughter, Amanda Valente of Gray; his mother, Maxine Moulton and stepfather, Ted Moulton of Gray; his brother, Joseph Valente of Mississippi; his sister, Bonni Tuttle of Gray; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael Valente Jr.; and brother, Michael Valente III.
