AUBURN – Isabelle C. Webber, 96, formerly of 61 Davenport St., Augusta, and most recently Schooner Estates, 200 Stetson Road, Auburn, for the past 12 years, died Saturday, July 22, at Clover Manor Nursing Home, where she resided for the past four months.

She was born in Mount Vernon, March 2, 1910, a daughter of George A. and Georgiana Piper Jr. She was educated in Mount Vernon schools. She was a longtime active member of the Green Street Methodist Church in Augusta and volunteered for numerous organizations.

She enjoyed storytelling in her unique and witty way and loved documenting all her visits with friends and family. She will be remembered for blessing this world with her superb sewing skills, as she made costumes for the Monmouth Playhouse, clothes for Barbie dolls and did mending for many family members.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Carroll McGary of Manchester and Phyllis and Martin Dow Sr. of Auburn; her grandchildren, Martin Dow Jr. and wife, Cathy, Gary Dow and wife, Jane, Janice Joyner and fianc, Chris Packard, Donna McGary and Thomas McGary and wife, Mary; her great-grandchildren, Emeth McGary and wife, Cory, Caleb McGary, Adam Dow and wife, Tonia, Travis Dow and fiance, Kathy Ouellette, Beth Dow, Heidi Joyner and Jacob Joyner.

Her husband, John, predeceased her in 1996. They were married for nearly 70 years. Four brothers also predeceased her.
