AUBURN – Yvonne Eva Michaud 87, formerly of Greene, died Thursday, July 20, at Clover Manor Nursing Home, where she resided for the past seven months.

Born in Greene on Dec. 15, 1918, a daughter of Arthur and Marie D’Amour Drapeau, she was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1936.

Mrs. Michaud was a member of Saints Peter and Paul’s Parish. She was married to Emile A. Michaud, who died on Nov. 13, 1959. She later married Everett Bradeen, who died in 2002.

She worked at Raytheon for 17 years, and at the Androscoggin County Register of Deeds for 14 years prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, braiding rugs, caring for her cat, and eating “divinity fudge!”

She loved her lifelong home, family and feeding the backyard birds.

She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, and for her wonderful letters to her family that made the mundane seem exciting.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Muriel M. and Robert C. McMillan of Bedford, N.H., Monique M. Michaud and Richard Waltman of Monument, Colo., and Roger N. and Beverly Michaud of Portland; her grandchildren, Seth, Robbie, Heather and Zack, and three stepgrandchildren residing in Colorado; a sister-in-law, Marion Drapeau; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Lorraine Aubut, who was a very dear caregiver to her in her last years, and her stepchildren, Anita, Lorraine, Blaine and Paul.

She was predeceased by her husbands; parents; and three brothers, Robert, Lucien and Reginald.
