LEWISTON – Marguerite Marie Boisvert, 84, passed away on July 17 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She died due to complications following surgery.
Born March 28, 1922, she was a daughter of Theophile and Beatrice (Phenix) Boisvert.
She was a member of the 1939 class of St. Dominic Regional High School and attended ACME Business College.
She married Henry E. Boisvert on Oct. 12, 1946.
She was a homemaker most of her life, returning to the work force to help pay for her children’s college education. She retired from Pineland Hospital in 1981.
She was an active member in the Postal Worker’s Wife’s Association, Le Messager Newspaper and Les Dames de Sainte Anne. She volunteered for 19 years as the Holy Cross Seniors trip coordinator and she was a member of the Holy Cross Parish.
She is survived by her six children, Monique (Jack) Reynolds from Greensboro, N.C., Suzanne of Biddeford, Father Marc of Les Cayes, Haiti, Denise (Rick) Roy of Lewiston, Gisele (Gary) Biron of Auburn and Louise of Saco; 10 grandchildren, Marc, Jonathan, Christian, Cheryle, Danielle, Megan, Joel, Raechel, Sara and Katrina; one great-grandson, Patrick; sisters-in-law, Frances Boisvert and Yvette Gagnon; and brother-in-law, Maurice (Irene) Boisvert.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1993; a daughter, Rachel in 1961; a grandson, Jason in 1975; and her three brothers, Romeo, Bernard and Bertrand.
